Handmade Mixed-Media Artwork
Made by hand, one piece at a time, in Fargo.
Original work in reclaimed wood, river clay, plaster, ink and wax — built up in layers until the surface feels like weather.
About the Work
I make things by hand here in Fargo, working slow through North Dakota winters with whatever the season hands me — reclaimed barn wood, river clay, plaster, ink, and paint built up in layers until the surface starts to feel like weather.
Most pieces begin as something found and end as something I can’t quite explain; I just keep working a panel until it holds still. I’m not after pretty so much as honest — texture you’d want to put your hand on, color that came up out of the ground.
Each one is assembled alone, one at a time, and signed on the back.
